Our Services

Unified Speech Pathology is qualified and ready to assess and treat communication and swallowing disorders across the lifespan. This includes speech, verbal and nonverbal language, written language, voice, fluency, dysphagia, oral function and mealtime management.

Language

Language is broken down into receptive (understanding) and expressive (how we use words) language across the lifespan.

Articulation

Articulation involves making speech sounds using the mouth, tongue, and soft palate, like correctly pronouncing the "s" in "soap" instead of "thoap."

Fluency

Stuttering refers to the flow of our speech. Individuals who experience frequent pauses or repetitions while speaking may stutter.

Swallowing

Dysphagia, or swallowing difficulties, affects swallowing, eating, and protecting the lungs. Conditions like Parkinson’s or strokes can impact this.

Voice

Voice is produced by our vocal folds and breath, varying in volume and pitch. Overuse or conditions like Parkinson’s can affect it.

AAC

Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) uses tools like picture cards or software to help people with speech challenges express their needs and thoughts.

Working With Other Needs

Speech pathologists assist a wide range of individuals that present with different diagnoses. We provide comprehensive therapy for a wide range of communication disorders.
